STEREO JOES
The Artful Dodge Gallery is the shared creative conspiracy of the Stereo Joes—(otherwise known, with suspicious convenience, as Joe M. and Joe M.)
Having hiked several hundred miles together—from Furnace Run in the Cuyahoga Valley to the Tour du Mont Blanc—they arrived at a singular conclusion: the world, while perfectly adequate, might benefit from more art, better conversation, and a few more people with the good sense to live with it—and pass it along.
One Joe is a physician, bone photographer, and musician; the other a writer, professor, and pilot—proof that specialization is vastly overrated.
The result is a digital-first gallery, with a recurring habit known as the Fortnight Ghost Collection—a brief two-week appearance of original works that rewards decisiveness, invites the uninitiated to begin collecting, and allows the experienced to feel, once again, entirely correct.
Together, they pursue the agreeable fiction that art improves things, and the far more reliable truth that operating a gallery makes them even more interesting. Artful Dodge Gallery is partnered with the Cheeky Car Company: Agent for the iconic British motorcar.
