Michael Murray, a Cleveland-based photographer and former journalist, has a habit of discovering that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is never quite finished repeating itself. He follows its shifting light and composed quietude, often in the agreeable company of Ohio’s more attentive photography circles. The Artful Dodge Gallery is particularly taken with his luminous herons and his painterly renderings of the CVNP—those familiar places that only began to behave properly once he bothered to look at them.
